MURDER IN THE SMOKEHOUSE

It is October 23rd 1897 and Samuel Speater, one of two smokers employed by the Heyhoe Smokehouse has been found dead. He was found at 5am this morning by Ernie Tar, the other smoker working there. Samuel was last seen alive around midnight when the last of the workers left for the night. Due to the fact that he was not supposed to be in the smokehouse overnight, and some strange marks on the body, we believe he may have been murdered.

 

Your task is to discover the identity of the killer, the method of killing Samuel and the motive.
